Spanish does not always require an explicit pronoun for inanimate objects the way English does. When it appears as the subject of an impersonal verb (rain, snow, be) or an adjective, it is often not translated. As a direct object, use lo for masculine nouns and la for feminine; le is less common but can appear in indirect object constructions.
