/pa/
Pas is a French adverb and noun. As an adverb, it negates the meaning of another word and translates to Turkish değil, -ma, or -me depending on context. As a noun, it means a step or pace (adım in Turkish).

Hızlı bir adımla yürüyün.
Pas functions as an adverbial negation and typically appears in the construction ne...pas (where ne comes before the verb and pas after). The suffix forms -ma and -me are used directly on Turkish verbs. Do not confuse the adverbial negation pas with the noun pas (step), which has a different meaning entirely.
