Und dein Bruder? Kommt er auch?

As a conjunction, und is the most common way to join similar elements. When used as an adverb at the start of a question (und dein Bruder?), it shifts focus to something previously not mentioned—Russian conveys this with а or а как же. Learners often overuse und where Russian prefers other connectives (а, но) for contrast or sequence.
