Was machst du?
Я знаю, что ты прав.
Ich weiß, dass du recht hast.
Всё, что я вижу, мне нравится.
Alles, was ich sehe, gefällt mir.
When что introduces a subordinate clause (meaning 'that'), use German dass. As an interrogative pronoun ('what?'), use was. As a relative pronoun ('which', 'that'), gender and case are marked in German (der, die, das) but не in Russian что. The fused relative pronoun что ('that which') corresponds to German was.
